Juraj Sabol

Juraj “George” is a New Jersey based fly tyer that specializes in freshwater streamers and saltwater patterns. Owner of Hooked On The Fly 2, custom flies and Photography.

Born and raised in former Czechoslovakia he was always interested in fishing. Unfortunately his venture into fly fishing did not start until he finished his enlistment with the US Navy. Project Healing Waters had an outing, he decided to join. Upon casting for few minutes then later in the day tying his first wooly bugger a bond and new addiction began.

He has been tying for 14 years now. Tying custom orders for specific trips is his specialty, tying patterns to chase the ultimate predators is what he lives for. Some people call him the Meat Maker for that reason.

He is a Pro staff member of HMH Vises, Ahrex hooks, Loon Outdoors. He also has been a professional photographer for over 7 years now.
